Working at The Care Collection – Janet, Home Care Assistant

Jan 7, 2019

We recently asked one of our fantastic Home Care Assistants, Janet (pictured with a Client), to provide us with some feedback on her experience of working at The Care Collection. This is what she said:

“I have worked as a Carer for 28 years and have been employed by a number of different care companies.  I can honestly say that joining The Care Collection has been the best career move I have ever made!

Catherine, Chelsey and the Field Care Supervisors have made me feel part of the team since day one. Any queries or concerns I have are addressed immediately by the office and I am supported through regular supervisions / appraisals and ongoing training. There are also staff meetings where I can meet other Carers and discuss new ideas with them and the office.

The office spend time matching me with Clients so that we are compatible. This means I feel comfortable and confident with who I care for. All visits are at least an hour long so I get to spend quality time with my Clients and there is no rushing or pressure involved.

I work between 22-30 hours per week and currently have 4 Clients, all located in my local area. The Clients I care for have a variety of different needs, including Dementia, end of life and difficulties with mobility.”

If you are passionate about caring for your community, please get in touch with our friendly team to discuss the opportunities we have available.
