Founder & Director of Care
I have over 30 years’ experience working in care and I can genuinely say I loved every minute. My empathetic nature drives my desire to enable people to achieve fulfilling, independent lives whilst remaining in their own home.
I believe The Care Collection’s contemporary and responsive model of care will revolutionise the industry by moving away from reactive mainstream “care agency” stereotypes towards a highly developed, proactive approach to care delivery. I am incredibly proud to head up The Care Collection, a venture that benefits the whole community and makes a real difference to the lives of the people we support.
I have over 13 years’ experience in care with people of all ages and have progressed from Carer to Field Care Supervisor to Registered Manager.
My role at The Care Collection includes regularly monitoring the service, ensuring it runs safely and effectively for our Clients and complies with, and exceeds, industry legislation. I also ensure that the care team receive appropriate training and any extra support they may need to provide excellent care. My aim is to exceed our Clients’ expectations by developing a holistic, person centred approach to care delivery, focused on promoting independence for everyone.
I started working professionally in care in 2016, after caring for my dad who was diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2000. I joined The Care Collection in January 2019, originally as a Carer before being promoted to my current role of Compliance Officer in May 2022.
I oversee carer and client compliance, support new staff and ensure the service continues to run safely and to the highest possible standards. I am currently completing my Level 3 in Health and Social Care which has been funded by the company. I am also newly qualified as the lead Autism and Learning Disability trainer.
I have a wide range of care experience, including severe autism and challenging behaviour.
I have also been a trainer for care companies and completed many “train the trainers” courses on moving and handling, first aid, autism, and learning disabilities. I have my health and social care level 3 which I completed in college.
As Compliance Officer I support both the Clients and Carers. I ensure the Carers have everything they need to deliver the highest standards of care. I also check the Clients and their families are happy with the care provided.
I joined The Care Collection as the Recruitment Advisor in May 2023. I studied Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
After obtaining my masters I started working within the customer service sector. I soon realised I liked helping people which led me to my career in recruitment. I have mainly worked for an agency, filling vacancies across different industries both temporary and permanent vacancies.
I have background in helping people find new opportunities in a sector they are experienced in and am here to help anyone looking to step into their career in care, as well as any experienced carers looking to join The Care Collection.
I have over 10 years experience working in care, and there is no other profession I would wish to be in.
I started working for The Care Collection in January 2021 and after a short career break I re-joined in March 2023. I work as part of the compliance team and also as a carer.
As part of my compliance role, I provide ongoing training and support to our carers and ensure we operate in full compliance with industry regulations and guidelines.
As a carer, I have clients ranging in age from 4 to a wonderfully brilliant 99 years, and it is such a privilege and pleasure to support them at home to ensure they are receiving the highest possible standard of care.
